About us

Daniel Kontur

Founder & Creative Director

Daniel co-created the documentary series Myths & Monsters for Netflix, a six-part exploration of European mythology and the origins of storytelling. He also directed episodes of the internationally distributed drama-documentary series Murder Maps, which was praised by acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro as “a classy, well-crafted—yet lurid—recreation of infamous Edwardian/Victorian murders.” Together, these productions established Daniel's reputation for transforming complex historical subjects into compelling cinematic narratives.

Building on more than a decade of experience in television and filmmaking, Daniel founded Tiny Realms Studios to reimagine how history can be experienced in the age of artificial intelligence. Combining traditional storytelling principles with a proprietary AI-assisted production pipeline, the studio creates visually distinctive history films that are designed to engage audiences across digital platforms, broadcasters and educational markets.

Based in Budapest and working internationally, Daniel continues to develop original projects that combine cinematic craftsmanship with emerging technology, while remaining focused on building Tiny Realms Studios into a globally recognised factual entertainment brand.
